Corey Benson and the STEER team have serviced over 400 students from 2018 to the 2023 school year.

We are incredibly excited about transitioning 77% of all students successfully back to their home school. 100% of our serviced 8th graders have transitioned successfully to High School!

Certified and EDP Approved

Approved by the Arizona Department of Education, we are fully certified to serve students with various disabilities, including those enrolled in the Emotional Disability Program (EDP) from Public School Districts.

Corey Benson
Founder & CEO

Mr. Benson specializes in supporting students who have been expelled from a regular school setting, either in the role of Director, Principal, or teacher; Mr. Benson has managed success for at-risk students in all grades, from kindergarten to high school seniors.

Israel Gomez
Team Leader

Israel Gomez was born in Phoenix, AZ, and graduated from St. Mary's High School and earned his business management degree from the University of Phoenix. This year marks Israel's 6th year in the program.

Harvey Cook
Lead Teacher

Harvey Cook was born in Phoenix, AZ, and attended Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, Percy L. Julian Middle School, Graduated from South Mountain High School, and earned a B. S. from Grand Canyon University.

Cecilia Gomez
Primary Teacher

Cecilia Gomez was born in Phoenix, AZ. Graduated from Bourgade Catholic High School and earned a dual major in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University. This year marks her 7th year teaching.
